Togo, Benin & Ghana

Sun 26 Jan, 2020

This is a long of week on the road in West Africa, across Ghana, Togo and Benin. This part of the world is still one of the best destination for the travel that wishes to emerge into the African culture, to understand the challenges of everyday life and understand what Africa is today and where it heads.

I was not in the best mindset for such a trip, as my business was going through turbulent times. But I was lucky to be with my partner and two good friends that made this trip fun. A lot of laughs, a string of unsettling episodes and a bunch of interesting places and people made the trip a wonderful memorable experience.

We drove out of Accra, west to Lome, the south part of Benin, before turning north. All the way up to the Benin-Togo-Burkina Faso borders, then crossed back Togo into north Ghana and headed south to Tamale. From their, we took a plain to Cape Coast via Accra and back to Accra to close the loop.
